Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Hasanuddin alongside with the Ministry of Finance, Islamic Development Bank Group (IDB), The National Islamic Finance Committee (KNKS), Indonesian Islamic Economist Association (IAEI) and World Bank collaborated to held the 3rd Annual Islamic Finance Conference. This conference was held at Four Points by Sheraton from 4th to 5th July 2018. The organizers of this event aimed to bring together participants from the public and private sectors to discuss and exchanged ideas regarding to Islamic Finance and Technological Changes towards Islamic Finance.
This event was opened by the Head of Fiscal Policy Agency Ministry of Finance Prof Suahazil, representative from IDB and IAEI as well as the Rector of Universitas Hasanuddin, Prof. Dr. Dwia Aries Tina Pulubuhu. On the second day, this event was also attended by Minister of National Planning Prof. Dr. Bambang Brodjonegoro and Prof. Dr. Basri Hasanuddin from Universitas Hasanuddin. Prof. Dr. Basri Hasanuddin delivered his talk entitled “Green Economic for Sustainable Prosperity: What the University Can Do?” on the second day of the event. This event was successfully held and attended by numerous participants and speakers throughout the world from various stakeholders of Islamic economics. Alongside to the conference, FEB also collaborated with Ministry of Finance to held a call for paper with Islamic Finance theme. The output of the call for paper was a proceeding of the conference which can be accessed at http://feb.unhas.ac.id/aifc. The call for paper was successfully held in producing numerous excellent manuscripts and research articles which are hoped can stimulate greater researches particularly in Islamic Finance in the future.
